Who Am I and Why Should You Listen to Me?
Emeric McCleary is my name. First generation U.S. born. Mexican-American. Not politically correct. I tell it like it is.
As a consultant, I get paid well to show employers how to reduce and avoid profit-robbing mistakes with their Mexican supervisors and workers. What I do eliminates nearly all frustration with managing a Mexican workforce.
My techniques work in as little as 7 minutes. Some strategies take 3 days. Others a week or so. You keep more precious time and money to work on and invest in your business.
“With a name like Emeric McCleary……. how could he be Mexican?” you ask.
Blame Two Nice Mexican Women
Grandfather McCleary, an Irish-American miner prospecting for Mexican copper, found something more valuable in Sonora, Mexico….a beautiful Mexican bride. My other grandfather, a Hungarian, left Europe after WWI and settled in Sonora, Mexico. He too fell in love and married a gorgeous Mexican woman. My grandmothers’ maiden names are Gallegos and Leon. Babies were made. A couple of them became my parents.
My dad came to the U.S. from Mexico at 16 to work and send money home to support his family. Dad got drafted. After the Korean War, my dad met my mom while visiting his parents in Mexico. Got engaged, married and brought his bride to Los Angeles. My parents still live in LA.
Spanish is the first language I learned. I live, eat and breathe Mexican culture. No, you can’t profile me because my skin is white. I pledge allegiance to the U.S., One Nation under God, and my blood is as Mexican as Blue Agave Tequila.
I graduated from the School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Class of ’83. No, I'm not a radical. I live in Northern Kentucky with my wife, two kids and our cat Luna. I hate taxes (although I understand you need some to run the gov't).
Gov't should build and maintain our infrastructure roads and freeways, protect us as citizens on our land and from our foreign enemies wherever they are, and step out of the way so small businesses can thrive, hire workers, and drive our economy.
Now I know so many people get freaked out when someone talks about God. A lot of folks are afraid of mentioning God on a business website because of fear of losing members, clients, even friends, but here's a note to you.
Yes, I'm a Christian, God fearing man. I try to respect all although that is an area of weakness I'm working on. Yes, I do make mistakes (and sin) every single day.
I'm tolerant. BUT that does not mean I must agree with all behavior I see in our world.
I'm not well-versed in the Bible. I also work on that. I teach 4th/5th grade Sunday school. It's more of a blessing to me than to the kids because I learn so much that I didn't pick up or cared to remember from catechism classes at St. Linus in Artesia, California.
Fortunately, I know where I'm going after this life. Through the Grace of God. Thanks for reading all the way down here.
The most important part I saved for last:
God Bless You,
Emeric
